At Impact Signs we provide a broad spectrum of signage. From Channel Letters to Vehicle Wraps to Digital LED Message Centers, we can provide any type of signage you're looking for. Feel free to view our Gallery of Signs or for more information on the types of signage we offer use the menu to the left or just simply scroll down.

Channel Letters

Channel Letters are individually illuminated metal formed letters which are typically used for exterior store fronts.
More

Channel Letters are formed by hand and machine. Each letter has 3 parts, the back, sides, and face. The back of the letters are made with aluminum or steel, which is cut to the shape of the letter, giving a flat outline which the sides can then be riveted, or welded to.

The sides start as a long piece of 4" or 6" sheet metal. The metal is bent along the shape of the back, and fastened along the edges. This forms the "Pan" shape. After all the metal is put together the channel letter is painted to protect from corrosion.

The final part of the channel letter is the face. Faces are usually routed 3/16" plex. Along the edge of the letter we glue a 3/4" - 1" plastic lip which slides over the metal sides of the letter and is fastened with screws. This closes the sign, protecting the lighting and electronics from the weather.

Channel Letters are typically installed directly to a wall via studs. Holes are drilled into the wall and studs are ran through to the other side where bolts hold the letters tight against the wall. Holes are also drilled for wiring conduit. Alternatively the letters can be placed on a raceway, which holds most of the electrical components. Then holes are drilled into the wall for the raceway, one hole for electrical conduit. This option creates far fewer holes in the wall. Patchwork should follow all installations.

Channel Letters also come reversed, leaving the face a solid metal. These can be be flush and non-illuminated, or have a standoff with lighting that bleeds out the back sides, creating a "halo" effect, hence the name, halo lit reverse pan channel.

Monument Signs

Monument Signs are an architectural signage that offers a broad use of substrates and building materials for more creativity and uniqueness.
More

Monument signs can be fabricated in many ways. Typically the structure of the sign is made of an angle iron frame taking into account all the faces, lighting and other electrical equipment that needs to go into the sign to make it work. Following this is an aluminum sheet metal skin, which is fastened to the frame via rivets or welding.

After the frame and skin are fabricated the sign is either painted, or a faux finish is applied to the sign. Stucco or other textured finishes are available.

The monument sign is now ready for faces. Graphical plex or lexan faces are made for the sign, sometimes individually cut letters are added to the sign.

Monument sign installation starts with digging a hole for a footing. A steel pipe is dropped and set in the concrete footing, this is what provides the strength to keep the sign upright for years to come. After the pole is set in the footing the monument sign is slipped over and either bolted or welded to the pole.

Neon Signs

Neon is a vibrant colorful option. The warm glow that emits from this illuminated signage is best known for its' traditional open sign and half of the Las Vegas Strip.
More

Neon is a tube filled with a gas which reacts to electrical currents that pass through it by glowing. The color of neon is achieved by adding different gasses, followed with applying phosphors(color) to the inside of the glass tubing.

Neon is first heated to a point where the tubing is pliable. Once the tubing can be bent, someone with the proper skills can bend that neon to any shape necessary. Once the neon achieves it's desired shape it is then capped with metal ends, which connect to an electrical current, and filled with gas.

The tubing is mounted to a fixture(plex back, or channel letters) which holds it in place. Then a transformer is connected to supply power.

Neon is usually mounted to a more durable structure before installation. Some neon is installed via a clip system directly to walls, fascias, or other areas.

Neon comes in a nice array of colors, thicknesses, and of course any size and shape.Neon breaks, so be mindful of this when considering it's use.

Sign Cabinets

A cabinet Constructed of metal, with graphic faces, and illuminated internally. Sound simple? Well it is, and effective too.
More

Sign Cabinets are constructed with an angle iron frame and "skinned" in a light weight sheet metal such as .040 aluminum. Sign cabinets are often the core display for a pole sign, or monument sign.

Once the general shape of the cabinet is constructed a Lexan, Plexi-glass, or Flex Face material is used for the faces. On these faces go the graphics, either via direct to surface UV prints, or first onto a clear/translucent vinyl which is then applied to the face. Retainers hold the face in place. Cabinet lighting and electricals go inside the cabinet (between the two faces), and are usually t-12, or mercury vapor lamps.

Cabinets can be mounted to a wall, pole or in a structure such as a monument.

Message Centers

Change your sign's message easily, even in a hurricane.
More

A message center is usually placed in a high traffic area such as along a busy street or highway. With animated changing graphics, these will catch the attention of anyone traveling by them providing a message that can be altered with ease.

A message center is a large grid, or matrix of LED lights. Multi-Colored message centers have a cluster of different colored LEDs at every point along the grid. The tighter the grid the more detailed the image will be.

The LED grid is broken up into panels or boards of LEDs, usually in an 8x8 node size, where actual size varies based on how close each node is. The actual display is built inside a standard sign cabinet, which houses all the electrical components that allow the sign to function.

A network connection to the message center is established via a phone line, t-100 network, or wireless network. This connection allows info on the sign to be changed via a computer.

Just like a traditional sign cabinet, message centers can be mounted to a wall, pole or in a structure such as a monument.

The biggest differences between message centers revolves around grid detail, and color options. These range from picture quality, to simple text, and one color to monochrome, to full color options.

Dimensional Letters

3D Letters, these come in all shapes, sizes, and colors.
More

Dimensional Letters are commonplace in lobbys, as wayfinding signage, and on flat panel displays. They are mostly used as interior signage, however there are some plastic letters that are effective outdoors.

Dimensional letters are a simple construction, which basically includes taking a sheet of material and routing individual letters or shapes directly out of the sheet. Often times a base material such as sign foam will be used, and a thin sheet of metal or other material will be adhered to the face of the letter. Dimensional letters are mounted by either doublestick foam tape or studs. They can also be mounted to a flat panel display. Endless colors, and a wide array of substrates make for thousands of variations for this type of signage.

Vehicle Graphics

Cutting edge, eye catching graphics that go right on your car.
More

Vehicle graphics start out as a printed sheet of vinyl. Not just any vinyl, this vinyl is repositionable and bubble resistant for an easier application. With the proper tools and a skilled wrap installer the once flat graphics become molded to every contour of your vehicle. Vehicle graphics are applied directly to the surfaces on your car, but don't worry, the wrap vinyls remove easily leaving little residue, and actually protect your ride. We use opaque vinyls for most surfaces, and a perf vinyl that goes over your windows, allowing you to see out from the inside, while others see only your graphic.

Awnings

Cloth or Canvas type material that is mounted to a frame and used typically on buildings.
More

Awnings are made of an aluminum square tube frame that is constructed in the desired shape. the frame is the covered in a flexible cloth-like material which usually has printed graphics on it. Sometimes t-12 lighting is installed to light the awning. The awning is manufactured in our shop and taken to the location and installed directly to the building, via brackets and through bolts.

Realty Signs

You've probably seen a few realty signs in someone's front yard, window, or on a windy day, maybe face down in the middle of the street.
More

There are lots of different types of realty signs, Impact Signs uses two main materials ABS and Corex.

ABS signs start as blank panel which is routed out of a 4x8 sheet, to the proper shape and size. With the pre routed panels ready, the graphics are printed directly the the surface of the sign, and UV cured, and finally, grommets are inserted into the sign.

Corex signs get a coating of ink directly to the surface which is UV cured. After the graphics are on the sheet, the signs are cut down to the proper size, grommets are then inserted to hang the sign.

These signs can be installed hanging from a post, or in a frame. Both of which we carry in stock. Smaller Corex signs can be mounted to a wire h-stake which goes into the ground. Optional solar powered light systems are available.

Banners

Banners are a short-term inexpensive sign that can be hung almost anywhere.
More

Our banners are digitally printed with solvent based ink directly onto the banner material. We then use a heat seamer to seam the edges of the banners, and insert grommets for easy mounting.

Banners can be installed on fences, walls, or secured in mid-air so long as there are ropes or bungies to hold them taught.
